Trimarans
A stripped down F-22A will be offered as an entry level trimaran. The emphasis being on maximising the fun and minimising the startup costs. We want to get more people started in trimaran sailing so they can experience the excitement of fast, comfortable sailing. Melvest Marine has been working with Farrier Marine to simplify production methods and make the Resort Cruiser affordable.
First versions will use existing forms to bend PVC foam but new moulded parts will be introduced progressively until the whole boat is made from gelcoated moulded parts. "Resort Cruisers" will be offered without float and foredeck hatches, pulpit, bow nets, poptop and windows. A lightweight "A" length aluminium mast will be included with a boomless main and jib only. Parts will be ordered in bulk from Farrier Marine to reduce shipping costs. Later the boat can be upgraded if desired. Extra parts can be just bolted on.
